The lamp height is adjustable by loosening /tightening the knob on the lamp body. The plug is at the head of the lamp and not at the base. But they do provide cable management to help make the chord look more streamlined. The base itself is pretty sturdy.
Another perk is that you can daisy chain these by inserting the outlet into the back of one lamp and connecting it to another. The last pic shows the two outlets on the back of the lamp head.
There is no timer for this lamp, but it does come with an on/off switch on the chord.
The neck of the lamp is also a gooseneck which is great and it doesn’t look like the normal metal-like swivel necks. This one is covered in a silicone-like material, making it more aesthetically pleasing.
Overall good light if you don’t might the location of the plug outlets and the lack of timer.
