the only downside is the light is not adjustable. Its just 1 color temperature, and one strong brightness. (color temp that replicates normal sunlight I believe.) Its strong enough that it makes me feel like I am getting Vitamin D....from it bouncing off the wall a bit sitting a few feet away. Surprisingly powerful, and with the adjustability and the neck that also adjusts...you can contour it pretty much anyway you want ,and control how much light you need. (by distance, and angles, but you can't dim the light itself.)
Overall: this is a very good quality product for the price point, and if you need just a standard normal strong sunny day replicating light, this will likely work for you. If you erquire more complicated different color temperatures and dimming, you may need to look to other units though. For me - excellent for my purposes, as my first grow light, and was very impressed and surprised by how good it it.
Note: I also connected this to a smart plug that works with Alexa, so I can turn it on/off whenever I want, and set up a daily schedule, so with a smart plug its even more useful.
The light is extremely bright.
